What's new at MoSoap?
 |
Feb 21st
- Thank you to everyone that has sent me well
wishes, I do appreciate it. My hand is healing
up well but I still have a huge mitt on my hand to
protect it. Feeling is finally coming back
into my fingers so I can now tell I am touching hot
items....like a stove. Soapmaking has been
difficult but my family is flying in this weekend to
help me catch up - yeah for family!! |
 |
|
 |
Feb 7th -
Well I thought everything was going great after I
came back from back from vacation, but life has a
way of making you slow down sometimes. After
being in 2 car accidents within a week, not my fault
luckily and putting my hand in a rotating blend
blade, I have had to slow down a bit. I
thought I unplugged my blender prior to cleaning
it....I unplugged the wrong blender. So I'm a
bit slow packing and typing with just one hand right
now. I have all my fingers still, they just
aren't pretty looking right now. Please bear
with me on slow shipping - the doctor says I should
be back to normal use in about 2 more weeks.
|
 |
Jan 21st
- I'm back from Spokane, WA and we're preparing to
ship orders tomorrow. If you ordered while the
store was closed, orders are being processed in the
order received. Most everything will ship on
Tuesday. |
 |
Jan 11th
- I'm closing up the shop until Jan 21st while I go
on vacation. Jackie will be in and out of the
shop so she can return your phone calls or emails to
answer questions, but orders will not ship until
Jan. 22nd. |
 |
Happy New
Year! I hope everyone has a safe and
prosperous 2008. We have some new products and
services I hope everyone enjoys. |
 |
Dec 26th
- Ok, a belated Merry Christmas to everyone!
I figured most of you would prefer your orders than
my witty chatter so between ice and snow storms I
was filling orders not blogging or updating the
site....sorry. But I can say tonight that
MoSoap finally has some new products on-line with
more to follow in January. Check out our new
lip balms!
Right now available in the
Olive Oil formula
and Jan. 1st in the
Cocoa Butter formula
|
 |
Nov. 1st
- I'll be closing up the shop from Nov 7th
- 14th as I have to go to Springfield, MO for
some classes. You'll still be able to order,
but nothing will ship until after the 15th of
November. Plus, I'm running out of soap!
I made plenty the last 2 weeks, so we'll be fully
stocked and able to ship quickly after the 15th.
Soap needs about 4 weeks to dry prior to selling.

 |
Oct 31st
- Happy Halloween!
I'll be out of the office most of the day because I
have to make a trip to pick up some lye. It's
an all day trip - 2 hour each direction and then
usually an hour wait once I'm there. Please
don't think I'm being rude by not answering the
phone! I can't find anyone today to cover the
shop so no one's here : ( |
 |
Sept 1st
- We have a new retailer! I'm thrilled to have
the
Fig Leaf Gift Shop
in Florida to offer our products. If you are
up by Port Washington, Florida stop by the
Eden Garden State Park
where the gift shop is located. I'm a Florida
girl really...and here you thought I was from
Missouri! |
 |
Aug 30th
- It's been a busy summer here at MoSoap.
August as has been our best month in our 5 year
history - THANK YOU wonderful MoSoap customers!!
|
 |
July 25th
- For those that have tried to call the last 2
weeks, I've been in and out of the shop due to
family emergencies/ drama for a better word.
My grandfather recently passed and now my
grandmother who helped give me recipes for MoSoap is
ill. I've been traveling to North Carolina
(Statesville, in Iredell Co.) about every other week
to help my mother fix my grandmother's house.
It's a bit of a drive, but I do love the scenery!
So far on-line orders have gone out on time, but the
phone is having problems. |
 |
July 20th
- By customer request, MoSoap now has Variety Packs
of our Lye Soap and Pine Tar Soap. The
Lye Soap Variety Pack
is 5 Basic and 5 Traditional soap, and the
Pine Tar Variety Pack
is "make your own". You choose the styles and
how many of each, just so long as it adds up to 10
bars. |
 |
July 8th
- It's been a while since I updated the site - with
so many new things going on, I'm a bit...well
actually a lot behind. But no worries! I'll
update the site and the blog with new info, recipes
and tips on our soaps. |
 |
May 8th -
The US Postal Service is having a price increase on
the 14th, but the good news is that they are lower
the original increase.....now it will be $8.95 for
the Flat Rate box, which I have been known to
squeeze over 15 lbs of soap in. It's still a
great deal in most cases. |
 |
May 5th -
The milk soaps are back in stock along with plenty
of Lavender Milk Soap. We're still out of the
Handmilled though and now the Ginger Papaya!
|
 |
May 1st -
Order by May 8th for Mother's Day delivery.
|
 |
April
13th - There will be a shipping increase on May 1st
by USPS on the flat rate boxes - The flat rate
envelopes to $4.85 instead of $4.05, and the boxes
will go from $8.10 to $9.05. It is still many
times less expensive to use flat rate priority mail
than even parcel post. |
 |
April 1st
- We're sold out of Milk Soap and Handmilled Lye
Soap. More will be available at the end of the
month for purchase. |
 |
March
19th - We are no longer using UPS as a shipping opt.
All of our shipping will now be handled strictly by
the United States Postal Service. USPS offers
a scanable tracking system now to show that your
package was shipped, not just delivered.
|
 |
Feb. 18th
- No shipping of USPS on the 19th due to President's
Day |
 |
Feb. 13th
- Winter storm has us snowed in! |
 |
Nov 23rd
- Another set of new, limited edition holiday soaps
are out! Winter Forest and Peppermint Lye Soap
|
 |
Oct. 23rd
- The phone was ringing at 6am with questions about
pine tar after the World Series last night!
|
 |
Oct. 20th
- A major bout of the flu hit us here last week at
the shop....we don't pack orders or make soap when
we're sick, so everything is a little behind.
|
 |
Oct. 13th
- Introducing
Rum Cake soap and sugar scrub for the
holidays! It looks like cake, smells like
cake, but please don't eat it! Sold by the slice.
|
 |
Oct 12th
- Just until Halloween, we are offering our new
Pumpkin Spice soap
in a cute, vintage art gift bag. This year we
will have a variety of new holiday soaps and bath
products including yummy rum cake, sleigh ride,
peppermint lye soap and more! The Pumpkin Spice will
be offered through March, but the bag is a limited
holiday edition. |
 |
Oct. 1st
- Ok, I received the MOST convincing email ever to
bring back a product today. The log
bulk soaps
are back thanks to customer comments. You will
also find our
soap shreds too for making decorative
soap balls, hand milled soap or even liquid soap.
|
 |
Sept 20th
- Help is on the way for me at MoSoap! Starting Oct.
1, Jacqueline will be joining MoSoap.
Previously the Supervisor of Guest Services at
Universal Orlando Florida, she will be handling your
calls, emails, the monthly newsletter and all the
other things that go into this little business - I
now get to make soap 8+ hours a day! |
 |
August 8th - Lavender Milk Soap is back in stock!
Peppermint Lye Soap will be available in a day or
so. |
 |
August
8th - Log orders are running about 7 - 10 business
days to ship - please order accordingly |
 |
I am sold out of Milk Soap and Lavender
Milk Soap for the moment. Around the first of
August, the next batch will be ready. |
 |
July 15th - Peppermint Lye Soap will be back on
August 1st - I sold out within 4 days and the next
batch hasn't finished setting up yet. The
Handmilled Lye Soap
is finally listed (thanks to all those that pointed
out it was missing). Plans for more soaps
without coconut or shea butter are in the works for
all those that asked for them due to skin
sensitivities. |
 |
July 15th - Does the entire country have a poison
ivy problem??? This week alone I packed up
753 bars of our Basic Lye Soap! It's a record
and doesn't include logs of the Basic either.
And someone thought I should be able to get orders
out the same day they come in.......ha. |
 |
July 5th - I had to cancel the Lincoln County Fair
as I couldn't fill orders here and work the show. |
 |
June 28th - MoSoap has a new logo now. It's
just the name in fancy script, but I like it.
I don't have time to change the site - have to get
those orders out, but you'll start seeing the new
packages and promo items in your orders. |
 |
 |
 |
May 10th - Just added was the downloadable page for
using our
Shampoo Bars.
You'll find our easy way to liquefy them for easier
use and a basic vinegar rinse to leave hair fresh
and not heavy. |
 |
|
 |
May 10th - Well some of you may have thought we
disappeared off the face of the earth, but there was
an accident at the shop. MoSoap is now just
one person instead of 4, so I am trying to
handle making the soap, packing the soap, shipping
and answering all your questions - plus there are
two other soap businesses to run. The
transition hasn't been the smoothest, but I truly
appreciate everyone's patience! Now there is
only one person to talk to if you need something -
it's Debra, that's me. |
 |
Feb 23rd - Our newest pine tar soap is just out of
the mold! It is called Patchouli Pine Tar and
is a wonderful blend of rich patchouli and sweet
orange essential oils. The recipe is just like
that of the Gentlemen's and Lavender Pine Tar soaps
with a great lather. It should be available
starting March 15th. |
 |
Feb 20th - We just signed on again to do the Lincoln
County Fair this July. For more information
and events, check out the official website at
Lincoln County Fair |
 |
Feb 18th - For those that asked, you can see the
KMOV interview on-line by
clicking here |
 |
Feb 8th - If you are in the St. Louis area and watch
KMOV Channel 4
this Friday, you'll see Debra on TV at 5 pm.
KMOV's Health Report Lisa Manzo, who is ever so
nice, interviewed Debra about our sister store
Botanical Earth
and her design of products that do not contain
Phthalates or Parabens. Our MoSoap products
are also held to the same standards! You can read
more about these ingredients at
SafeCosmetics.org |
 |
January 20th - Finally a break from everyone's
orders. It's been as busy here as at Christmas
the last 3 weeks. Did everyone tell their
friends about us? Thank you to everyone that
gave our products as gifts. Now its Valentine
coming up, so new vintage art gift baskets are on
the way. |
 |
January 2nd - Happy New Year! We are back from
vacation and packing orders to ship tomorrow. |
 |
Nov 17th - Finally I have begun to get the Christmas
Goods up - All of our new baskets and bags should be
available by the 19th. Starting day, our
Botanical Body Care Soaps
are going to a new size and price. You'll find
the new bars to be just a 1/2 ounce smaller but a
whole $1 cheaper! |
 |
|
 |
Oct 25th - Well, you want to know really what is
going on at MoSoap? There's a blog started
now! It's new as of today so don't expect too
much, there's only 2 posts so far - I'll be adding
to it daily to keep everyone better informed about
the changes, specials and new products coming out.
There will be recipes, how to's and just
general information about MoSoap. Check it out
at
MoSoapS.com
with the S on the end. Enjoy - Debra |
 |
Sept 30 - We've finally restocked our supply of
Frankincense
and
Myrrh for the
holidays. Sold separately in 1/2 pound bags,
these ancient resins are great for gift giving, camp
fires, decorating or for teaching church classes. |
 |
Sept 23 - Been so busy we haven't even had time to
up date the site! You'll find new sizes and
prices on our most popular lye and pine tar soap.
Prices on many items have gone down!
So many of our customers have asked for a discount
on multiple bars along with better shipping rates,
that we changed our molds that our family had used
for 50 years. Debra will be adding more
information in the coming week, but be sure to take
a look at our
new log sizes in 3 lbs
and the
new 4.5 ounce bars.
They are easier to handle than our chunk bars that
we previously offered. |
 |
July 23 - If you are attending the 6th Annual
Women in the Outdoors
Event be sure to say "Hi" to Debra as she will be
one of the guest teachers at this event. She
will be teaching the Edible Flowers and Herbal
Vinegar Class along with the Drying of Herbs and
Flower Pressing. |
 |
July 12- 16 Meet us at the Lincoln County Fair in
Troy, Missouri~ |

Missouri made soap brands to our site. For

Bitin' Bug soap

 |

a new affiliate program with members of our mailing
list. After we receive their seal of approval,
we'll be offering an open invitation for others. |
 |
Nov.19th 2004 - Join our new Email
List. We'll be sending out a newsletter every
other month with upcoming sales and new products.
|
 |
Nov. 1st 2004 - We've redesigned our
website and have our own on-line store. If you
remember, we had our products on Botanical Earth's
site for
purchase. Now, you can easily find just our
products on our own ecommerce site through Yahoo!Stores.
