Thank You for Your Patience and Understanding
Hello, dear friends!
Firstly, I want to extend a heartfelt apology for not updating the blog sooner. Like many of you, 2024 has brought its challenges, and while there really no excuses for not writing, I'd like to share what's been happening on my end.
Earlier this year, I traveled to Idaho for some much-needed medical attention due to heart issues. A long road trip thru Medicine Bow and up to Driggs, ID always makes me happier! During this time, I also took a fall while putting away 2023 Christmas decorations, resulting in a concussion that somehow reactivated my long-dormant Lyme disease. These health setbacks made it difficult for me to maintain my usual production pace, I wasn't able to pour more than 20 lbs. of pine tar soap at a time and well, that is not going to keep pace.
Despite these challenges, you've all been incredibly understanding and patient, even when some orders took a month to ship. I'm normally a week or two, even for me a month is no good.
Suddenly I’ve been juggling quite a bit—celebrating my mother-in-law's 95th birthday in Spokane - mandatory vacation which I am not complaining about, lending a hand to my widowed neighbor Jim, and managing family issues in North Carolina, and helping my mom with some health issues. It's been a whirlwind, and I appreciate your understanding as I work through these personal matters.
Running two online soap businesses plus the physical shop is no small feat for one person, especially as I approach the age where I can start collecting social security. For what it's worth, I do everything, from designing labels, printing, marketing, building maintenace, and of yes, making soap. : ) While many have offered to learn my craft, I’m waiting for someone who truly understands why the shop is here—to serve you better.
Thankfully, a little less stress has allowed me to catch up on soap-making. With the holidays approaching, I'm gearing up to ensure your orders arrive promptly. If you need something in a hurry, please reach out—I'll do my best to accommodate.
Thank you for reading and for your unwavering patience. Wishing you all a wonderful Fall.
Warm regards,
Debra
